* Falling asleep is a factor in 12% of home candle fires and 26% of the associated deaths.

The number one cause of burns in children is cooking/kitchen related,
candles are a close second (hot wax can give a child 2nd-3rd degree burns).
A lot of people don’t realize that they are wasting a lot of money on energy costs due to candle soot. The soot/smoke put out from candles will actually collect in your air filters, causing the air flow in your
home to be restricted AND causing you to have to replace your filters
more often, When that soot/smoke collects in the filters, when the
air kicks on it will actually blow the particles back into the air.
Candles cause an estimated 15,600 fires in residential structures, 150 deaths, 1,270 injuries, and $539 million in estimated direct property damage each year. * More candle fires (38%) begin in the bedroom than in any other room.
